Urnex Dezcal Descaler

Made in USA

Powder for removing lime scale and calcium from espresso, automatic, and pour over machines.

  • Effectively breaks down limescale for better tasting coffee and more consistence machine performance.
  • Descaling removes mineral scale that builds up on the heating element of every coffee maker.
  • Also effectively descales hot water tanks and boilers, as well as faucets and sprayheads.
  • Formulated from biodegradable, odorless and phosphate free ingredients.

Only regular removing of calcium scale allows long and effective operation of coffee machine; moreover, it allows avoiding potential damages and costly repairs.

Also descales coffee servers, themos, ironer, steam oven, steamer, tea pots, tea makers, etc

Recommended for coffee machines

The CoffeeNose 👃: This is a smart choice product. Smart because it's more sustainable and economical to use powder instead of a liquid descaler. Of course the dezcal powder works a a charm, otherwise it wouldn't be smart. If you are used to vinegar descaling you will notice the descaling power of dezcal. Being odorless and fast working is another benefit.

If you want to descale your espresso machine boiler Dezcal might do the job but we have a specialised product for it. Just ask. Or bring your machine in for professional descaling and deep cleaning (for E61 and other espresso machines).

Dezcal is available in:

  • powder sachets (set of 4)
  • 900gr jar dezcal powder
  • 1 liter bottle liquid descaler

The build-up of mineral scale is a threat to the performance and durability of coffee and espresso machines. Mineral scale build-up can impact your machine’s boiler, preventing water from reaching its optimal brewing temperature. At insufficient temperatures, it is impossible to extract the full flavor from your coffee. Mineral scale build-up can also clog water flow, and if not removed, can cause a machine to stop working.

Descaling removes the mineral scale build-up that forms on the heating element of all coffee equipment. Dezcal Descaling Powder is odor free and rinses away thoroughly, unlike vinegar which can be difficult to rinse, takes longer to be effective and leaves behind an unpleasant odor and aftertaste that affects the aroma and taste of your coffee.

Compatible with: Miele, Moccamaster, Sage, Breville, Solis, Krups, Saeco, Melitta, Fellow, Magimix, Nespresso, Philips, de Longhi, ECM, Profitec, Rocket, Bezerra, Rancillio, etc. If your brand is not listed and you are not sure just ask. Most brands will offere a high priced branded line of descaling and cleaning products. We can suggest you an alternative product, like dezcal, that is safe to use. Just ask.
