At Amsterdam Coffee Lab we run this course over 4 days (28 hours) to ensure enough time for practice, experiments and exam retakes. 


Roasting Professional will provide a more detailed understanding of the roasting process and the different kinds of heat transfer at work. Advanced skills in profile development and sensory evaluation of different profiles are tested. Knowledge of the fundamental chemistry of coffee is tested as well as the chemical reactions happening during coffee roasting. Roastery management include principles of manufacturing efficiency and capital expenditure decision making and is being tested.
  • Extensive relevant experience is recommended before attempting this level.
➔ Requirements
SCA CSP Roasting Intermediate is mandatory.
Sensory Skills Intermediate and Green Coffee Intermediate are highly recommended.
➔ Certification
The exam consists of a series of practical tests/exams and a written
exam. The written exam consists of xx questions with a pass rate of 80%
required.
After passing the exam you will be awarded the SCA CSP Roasting Professional
certificate and earn 25 points towards your coffee diploma.
➔ Course time
This course will run from 09:30-18:00.

1780 euro including VAT/BTW / and SCA CSP certificate: course 1322.31 certificate 180 and VAT308.93

Maximum of six people on a course. No minimum number for courses to

Getting there

By car, train or bike

In the evenings and on weekends, parking is available for free right outside our entrance. During business hours, we have a limited number of parking spots. 

The Weesp NS train station, which includes a P&R facility (parking lot), is just a 5-minute walk from here.

You can easily reach us by bycicle from Amsterdam, Almere, the Gooi, and nearby locations. We also have charging options available for your e-bike. ​
