Filter Coffee Workshop ☕
Brew Better Coffee at Home
You have a V60, Switch, Mugen, AeroPress, Kalitta or another manual brewer at home… but your coffee is still just okay? Maybe it tastes fine, but not as sweet, clean, juicy or delicious as the coffee at your coffee-geek friend’s place or your favourite specialty coffee bar.
This workshop is designed to change that. 🚀

At Amsterdam Coffee Lab, you’ll taste and compare coffee brewed with a wide range of manual and modern filter brewing methods, including the xBloom, Hario V60, V60 Ceramic, V60 Glass**, Switch**, ,Mugen,** Neo-style drippers**, immersion brewers and other pour-over methods.
You’ll discover how brewer shape, material, flow rate, filters, grind size, water, recipe and technique all influence the final cup.
Whether you are completely new to filter coffee or already deep into the rabbit hole, this is a great gift for any coffee lover: from curious beginner to full-on coffee nerd. 🎁
What You’ll Experience 👃☕
Filter coffee is one of the most exciting ways to explore the flavour world of specialty coffee. Depending on the beans and brewing method, your cup can be chocolaty and nutty, sweet and smooth, or bright, juicy, floral and complex.
During the workshop, we’ll taste different coffees and compare how they behave across multiple brewing methods. You’ll learn why the same coffee can taste completely different when brewed with a classic V60, a Switch, a Mugen, a glass or ceramic cone, a fast-flowing filter, or an automated precision brewer like the xBloom.
And yes, just like with wine tasting, spitting is perfectly fine if caffeine is a concern. 😉
