We recommend the 700ml for the most control when pouring. 500ml is sufficient for almost all pour-over brewing methods. For a large Chemex or something similar, you might want to use the 1.2 liter variant.

When brewing V60 with a ceramic dripper place the dripper with the rinsed filter on top of the buono instead of the lid. This way you heat water and pre-heat your V60 at the same time:

• Put the filter inside the dripper 
• Rinse the filter with water
• Place your V60 dripper on top of your Buono

Plastic free coffee brewing is possible with the Buono. It's made of stainless steel and the plastic lid does not come in contact with water or coffee. 

The Packaging of the Hario Bloom series is 100% plastic free.

With more and more news of micoplastics found everywhere including inside human brains you might want to avoid plastic. Plastic is migrating in oil and heating "food safe" plastic is not a good idea. Wether it is called Tritan or Polycarbonate it is an oil (pertoleum) derivate. BPA free doesn't mean healthy.
