Tip from the CoffeeNoseĀ š: A full automatic espresso machine makes espresso style beverages more easy and accesable. Howere 2 big mistakes are being made by many owners. The first mistake is a dirty machine. The water reservoir and internal lines need to be descaled to avoid a chalky flavor and keep the machine from breaking or leaking. The coffee oils inside the machine need to be cleaned to regulary to avoid rancid oil taste and the milk system is especially prone to bacteria growth. The milk side of the machine does not only affects taste, but also poses a health risk. So keep it neat and clean is the first step towards tasty coffee.
The second mistake is old, stale, flat (often to dark roasted) coffee. Believe me, was also believing that dark roast was the tastiest. Untill I tasted specialty coffee and encountered the true taste of specialty coffee. Try it out with a tasting pack. Not just your taste buds, but also your stomach will thank you!
