SCA Coffee Skills Program - Brewing Proffesional with Wouter Brunia.

At Amsterdam Coffee Lab we run this course over 4 days (28 hours) to ensure enough time for practice, experiments and exam retakes.

➔ Questions & contactProfessional level is suited to people who have worked for at least two years in a job related to green coffee. It builds on the knowledge gained at Intermediate level and prepares the student for managerial jobs within the industry. 

The Green Coffee module covers the key concepts surrounding green coffee, from growing the plant, through processing, shipping, storage and arrival at a roaster. It includes principles of coffee growing, processing and green coffee grading and coffee contracts and green coffee portfolio management.

Good knowledge of other Coffee Diploma System modules, especially Sensory Skills and Roasting, is highly recommended for anyone wanting to study at this level.

➔ The Trainer

The trainer for this course is Wouter Brunia (the CoffeeNose), Authorized SCA Trainer.

➔ Requirements

SCA CSP Green Coffee Intermediate is mandatory.
SCA CSP Introduction to coffee and Sensory Skills Intermediate or Professional are highly recommended.

➔ Covid Requirements

Complaince with our Covid policy is required. Students need to present proof of vaccination or a PCR test.

➔ Certification

The exam consists of a series of practical tests/exams and an online theory exam with a pass rate of 80% required.

The practical exam consist of several tests with a pass rate of 80%.

After passing the exam you will be awarded the SCA CSP Green Coffee Professional certificate and earn 25 points towards your coffee diploma.

This course will run from 09:30-18:00 for 4 days (including time for retakes).

➔ Practical

Maximum of six people on this course. No minimum number for courses to run. If there are no suitable dates showing, please contact us for further information.

The course will be in English with Dutch translation available.

The course will take place at our brand new Lab & training location in Weesp (Amsterdam municipality). It is located 5 minutes from Weesp NS train station and we have parking on-site.
