At Amsterdam Coffee Lab we run this course over 4 days (28 hours) to ensure enough time for practice, experiments and exam retakes. 


Professional level is aimed at people with extensive experience in the industry who wish to develop their knowledge to become sensory skills leaders in a coffee business.
Sensory Skills teaches you the essentials of sensory evaluation in a practical and interactive manner. It investigates the way we perceive what we taste and how to apply this knowledge when evaluating coffee’s natural characteristics. It also offers an insight into identifying specialty coffee qualities, as well as an overview of how to implement this in business.
➔ The Trainer
The trainer for this course is Wouter Brunia (the CoffeeNose), Authorized SCA Trainer.
➔ Requirements
SCA CSP Sensory Skills Intermediate is mandatory.
SCA CSP Introduction to coffee, Green Coffee Intermediate and Brewing Intermediate are highly recommended.
➔ Covid Requirements
Complaince with our Covid policy is required. Students need to present proof of vaccination or a PCR test.
➔ Certification
The exam consists of a series of practical tests/exams and an online theory exam with a pass rate of 80% required.
After passing the exam you will be awarded the SCA CSP Sensory Skills Professional certificate and earn 25 points towards your coffee diploma.
➔ Course time
This course will run from 09:30-18:00.
➔ Course fee
€1689,99 euro including 21% VAT/BTW / and SCA CSP certificate:
course €1216,69 certificate €180 and VAT €293,30.

Maximum of six people on this course. No minimum number for courses to run. If there are no suitable dates showing, please contact us for further information.
The course will be in English with Dutch translation available.
➔ Location
The course will take place at our brand new Lab & training location in Weesp (Amsterdam municipality). It is located 5 minutes from Weesp NS train station and we have parking on-site.

Getting there

By car, train or bike

In the evenings and on weekends, parking is available for free right outside our entrance. During business hours, we have a limited number of parking spots. 

The Weesp NS train station, which includes a P&R facility (parking lot), is just a 5-minute walk from here.

You can easily reach us by bycicle from Amsterdam, Almere, the Gooi, and nearby locations. We also have charging options available for your e-bike. ​
