Bio Little Bee-eater 85%, Sierra Leone
In Sierra Leone, we are working together with Village Hope. Village Hope is focused on reducing poverty in the rural areas of Sierra Leone by creating trained farmers who grow high-quality organic products and earn a stable income. Together, we have established the production of the first superior quality cocoa from the region, an area that has previously been known for low-quality cocoa.
Together with the farmers, we have worked on building and setting up central fermentation and drying, which has led to a significant improvement in quality. The genetic background of the native cocoa is Trinitario cocoa from the Caribbean, an absolute fine flavor cocoa. What you can now truly taste thanks to the quality and process improvements!
The Little Bee Eater depicted on the packaging symbolizes the protection of the region's biodiversity, which is greatly loved by birdwatchers.
