The 2022 offers several new features compared to the previous version: - Countdown Timer Mode: The mode is a customizable timer that can be personalized with 3 adjustable presets. - Weight and time notification in sound or voice - over 30 meldies that can be used as notifications. - Adjustable Volume - Exclusive to the Pearl Model S 2022, the volume setting can be adjusted as well as switched to silent. - Charging Port: The Pearl Model S has a mini USB charging port and the Pearl Model S 2022 has a USB-C charging port. - Bluetooth: The original has Bluetooth 4.0 and the 2022 version has 5.0. - Brewguide Mode is now a mode that can be toggled through like other modes. On the original version, this ability is accessed through long pressing the tare button.
