This course is designed for home baristas with experience. You know how to dial in an espresso and are even doing latte art, but good is not good enough for you. You want to refine your skills and take them to the next level.

At Amsterdam Coffee Lab, we believe in the power of practical learning. We will meet your individual needs, so you can learn to brew espresso like a professional. 

Seize the chance to tap into Wouter's knowledge and immerse yourself in our exceptional offerings! Being a proficient barista requires not only technical skills but also a keen sense of taste to evaluate the espresso and suggest necessary modifications. You will shift your focus from the usual metrics (extraction time, dose, yield, etc.) and reconnect with the core principles of tasting, assessing, and leveraging your expertise to improve the next shot!

If you have the opportunity, please bring your own machine and grinder so we can train you on the tools you work with every day. If you can't bring your equipment, please take some pictures of it.

Espresso is a delightful journey of flavors, ranging from rich nutty and chocolate undertones to vibrant floral and fruity notes. In the evenings and on weekends, parking is available for free right outside our entrance. During business hours, we have a limited number of parking spots. 

The Weesp NS train station, which includes a P&R facility (parking lot), is just a 5-minute walk from here.

You can easily reach us by bycicle from Amsterdam, Almere, the Gooi, and nearby locations. We also have charging options available for your e-bike. ​

There is a wide range of possibilities. Coffee tasting can be enhanced with sensory smell and taste activities like chocolate tasting, tea tasting, whisky tasting, and more.
