Dualit Cino™ Milk Steamer – Professional Microfoam Without an Espresso Machine
🥛 Real Steam. Silky Microfoam. Better Cappuccino.
The Dualit Cino™ Milk Steamer is a powerful standalone milk steamer designed for anyone who wants genuine café-style microfoam without relying on the steam capacity of an espresso machine.
Unlike an electric milk frother that heats milk with an element and introduces air using a whisk, the Cino uses pressurised steam. This gives you far greater control over temperature, texture and foam thickness—essential for smooth flat whites, creamy cappuccinos and proper latte art.
Its efficient thermoblock supplies continuous steam on demand and can heat milk in as little as approximately one minute. The compact freestanding design makes the Cino ideal for home coffee stations, offices, workshops and hospitality environments where fast, consistent milk steaming matters.
Espresso from one machine.
Professional milk from another.
A faster and more flexible coffee workflow. ☕

🥛 A Milk Steamer, Not Just a Milk Frother
There is an important difference between steamed milk and mechanically frothed milk.
A conventional electric frother normally uses a small whisk to introduce air. This can create plenty of foam, but the result is often relatively dry, coarse or separated into hot milk and a thick foam layer.
The Dualit Cino uses steam to heat and texture the milk simultaneously.
This allows you to create:
✅ Fine, silky microfoam
✅ A glossy and homogeneous texture
✅ Better integration between milk and espresso
✅ Adjustable foam for different drinks
✅ Milk suitable for basic latte art
✅ Greater control over the final temperature
Dualit specifically recommends steam-textured milk for cappuccino, flat white, latte and other speciality coffee drinks.
🔥 Continuous Steam from the Thermoblock
The Cino is built around a powerful 1,450-watt thermoblock heating system.
Instead of waiting for a small steam boiler to recover between drinks, the thermoblock generates continuous steam on demand. This makes it especially practical when preparing several milk drinks in succession.
The Cino can heat milk in as little as approximately one minute, depending on the volume, starting temperature and desired result.
The benefits
⚡ Fast milk preparation
♾️ Continuous steam availability
☕ Quicker service during busy moments
🥛 Consistent milk texture
🎉 Convenient when serving several guests
🔄 No need to wait for an espresso machine to switch into steam mode
This can make a major difference when your espresso machine is a single boiler, manual lever machine or coffee maker without its own steam wand.
🎛️ Control the Steam Flow
The steam valve allows you to regulate the steam output.
Open it further for greater power or reduce the flow when working with a small quantity of milk or when practising your texturing technique.
This gives the Cino considerably more flexibility than most automatic milk frothers.
Use it to prepare:
☕ Cappuccino
🤎 Flat white
🥛 Caffè latte
🍫 Hot chocolate
☕ Cortado
🥛 Latte macchiato
🌱 Drinks with suitable plant-based barista alternatives
For the best results, start with fresh, cold milk and a cold pitcher.
🏠 Standalone Freedom
Because the Cino is completely freestanding, it can be combined with almost any coffee preparation method.
It is an excellent addition to:
- Flair and other manual espresso makers
- Lever espresso machines
- Single-boiler espresso machines
- Capsule coffee machines
- Moka pots
- AeroPress
- Fully automatic machines with limited milk performance
- Filter coffee and café au lait setups
- Offices and meeting rooms
- Hot-chocolate stations
You do not need a water connection or specialist installation.
Fill the removable reservoir, plug the machine into the mains and position it wherever it best supports your workflow.
☕ Free Your Espresso Machine for Espresso
In a busy setup, steaming milk can interrupt espresso preparation.
A dedicated Cino allows one person to pull shots while another textures milk. Even when working alone, you can keep the espresso machine focused on brewing instead of waiting for steam mode or boiler recovery.
This is particularly useful for:
🏠 Entertaining at home
🏢 Office coffee corners
🎓 Coffee training and workshops
🍽️ Restaurants serving occasional cappuccinos
🛒 Mobile or compact coffee setups
☕ Small cafés with limited steam capacity
Dualit describes the Cino as suitable for homes as well as cafés, restaurants, offices and hospitality environments that require reliable milk steaming.
🧼 Automatic Purge System
When the steam valve is closed, the Cino automatically releases residual steam and water through its internal outlet.
This purge action helps clear the system after use and reduces scale accumulation inside the steam pathway. Some water will therefore collect in the drip tray during normal operation.
After every milk drink
- Wipe the steam wand immediately with a clean damp cloth.
- Allow the machine to complete its purge.
- Remove any milk residue from the nozzle.
- Rinse the pitcher before milk dries onto the surface.
- Empty the drip tray when required.
Never allow milk to dry inside or around the steam nozzle.
💧 Integrated Water Filter
The Cino includes an internal water-filter system to reduce impurities and help slow down limescale formation.
A water-filter replacement indicator reminds you when the cartridge needs attention. The machine is supplied with three original Dualit water filters, and replacement filters are available in packs of six.
Cross-sell: Dualit Cino Filters – Pack of 6
Keep replacement cartridges ready so the Cino does not have to be operated with an exhausted filter.
Filtering can:
💧 Reduce the mineral load
🛡️ Slow limescale accumulation
☕ Support cleaner-tasting steam
🔧 Reduce avoidable maintenance
📆 Help maintain consistent performance
For high-volume use, contact WB.coffee about a larger-capacity external water-filter solution. Filling the Cino with already treated water can offer a much lower filtration cost per litre and create less cartridge waste.
⚠️ Filtering Does Not Eliminate Descaling
Even when the original filters are used correctly, the Cino still requires periodic descaling.
Dualit equips the machine with:
- A descaling warning light
- A dedicated descaling programme
- An advance warning stage
- A lock mode when descaling is postponed too long
An amber indicator means descaling should be performed soon. If maintenance is ignored, the indicator turns red and the machine can enter lock mode until the procedure is completed.
A filter slows mineral accumulation.
It does not make scale impossible.

The blog explains why filtration and descaling are two different maintenance steps.
🧼 Cross-Sell: Cafetto Renew Descaling Powder
Use Cafetto Renew for periodic descaling when compatible with the instructions supplied with your Cino.
Renew helps dissolve mineral scale that can restrict water flow, reduce steam power and place extra pressure on heated components.
Always:
⚠️ Remove the water filter before descaling
💧 Follow the correct dilution
🥄 Dissolve powder completely
🚫 Never mix it with another cleaner
🚿 Complete the full rinse cycle
📖 Follow the Dualit maintenance instructions
Using a stronger solution is not better and can damage equipment.
🥛 Cross-Sell: Cafetto MFC Powder Eco
Descaler removes minerals.
It does not remove milk fat and protein.
Use Cafetto MFC Powder Eco for the milk pitchers, removable steam-wand components and other compatible milk-contact equipment.
Heated milk can leave behind:
- Milk proteins
- Fatty deposits
- Dried films
- Sour aromas
- Milk stone
- Hygiene problems
MFC Powder is formulated specifically for this type of residue.
Never add milk cleaner to the Cino water reservoir unless an official cleaning procedure explicitly instructs you to do so. Clean removable components separately and rinse them thoroughly.
🚿 Cross-Sell: Rhino Mini Rinser Spinjet
The Rhino Mini Rinser Spinjet makes an excellent partner for the Dualit Cino.
Its rotating high-pressure spray quickly rinses milk pitchers after steaming, before proteins and fats can dry onto the stainless steel.
Perfect for:
🥛 Latte-art pitchers
☕ Cappuccino jugs
🍫 Hot-chocolate jugs
🌱 Plant-based milk preparation
🏢 Office coffee stations
🎓 Coffee workshops
🍽️ Compact hospitality setups
A pitcher rinser improves speed and daily cleanliness, although periodic deep cleaning with MFC is still necessary.
☕ Cross-Sell: Fortezza di Weesp

👃 CoffeeNose Tip – Texture First, Latte Art Second
Latte art starts with the texture of the milk.
Use fresh, cold milk and fill the pitcher only to the correct level. Introduce air close to the surface during the first part of steaming, then position the nozzle to create a strong whirlpool.
The goal is not a large mountain of foam.
You want milk that looks like wet paint:
✨ Smooth
✨ Glossy
✨ Elastic
✨ Free from large bubbles
✨ Fully integrated
Stop steaming before the milk becomes excessively hot. Overheated milk loses sweetness and becomes more difficult to pour.
Tap the pitcher gently, swirl immediately and pour without waiting too long.
❤️ Why We Like It at WB.coffee
The Dualit Cino solves a real problem.
Many excellent coffee makers produce good espresso but offer weak steam performance—or no steam wand at all. The Cino lets you keep the coffee system you already enjoy while adding proper, powerful milk steaming.
We particularly appreciate:
🔥 Genuine pressurised steam
⚡ Fast milk heating
♾️ Continuous thermoblock performance
🎛️ Adjustable steam control
🧼 Automatic purging
💧 Integrated filtration
🏠 Compact freestanding installation
It is more hands-on than an automatic milk frother, but that is also its strength.
You control the amount of air, the whirlpool, temperature and final texture. With a little practice, you can create milk that is much closer to a proper café cappuccino than the stiff foam produced by most whisk systems.
Pair it with fresh Fortezza di Weesp or The Chocolatier’s Brew and the Cino becomes the milk-drink specialist of your coffee setup.
