DUOMO designed The Eight around the technique of the Weiss Distribution Technique (WDT). The Eight perfects the WDT and produces a more even, efficient and clean distribution (good-bye funnel and paper clip!). The design and placement of the eight needles allow for optimal performance. The end result is fluffy espresso that is evenly distributed throughout the entire basket. Shots pull more consistently and showcase the espresso in its truest form.

Duomo is designed to "extract more" and provide more consistency compared to manual WDT routine. For cafe's it will always slow down the workflow so it's up to you to decide if that's acceptable for your cafe.

the CoffeeNose👃: Duomo is the original WDT tool. Many copies are on the market now. Both cheap knock offs and high end (vibrating) tools. We have testes the Duomo extensively and it performs very well (higher extraction, sweeter shots) with good repeatability. Removes statics and help you to brew better. We use first the Duomo and then a leveller (Motta competition, OCD, etc). A tamper is not necessary most of the times  and often risks not 100% level tamping whilst the distributor will already press the puck together enoug to keep puck integrety when inserting in the group head.
