To keep the anti-static function working properly it is important to clean the chute regularly. A blowout bellow and grinder brush are recommended. The burrs can be cleaned with grinder cleaner. Be kind to yourself and your Opus and don't use dark roasted and oily coffee!

This grinder surpasses the Baratza Encore and other conical burr filter grinders in performance. It operates more quietly, offers superior particle size distribution, and features an improved design. However, a drawback is that Fellow does not provide repair support or spare parts availability.

Baratza offers the benefit of a more compact design and easy repair options due to the availability of spare parts. However, one downside is the level of noise it generates. 

Opus is ok as entry level espresso grinder, especially for 51 and 54mm portafilters such as often found on entry level espresso machines from de Longhi, Sage and others. For more advanced grinding and moka pot or turkish coffee we recommend a dedicated espresso grinder such as Mahlkonig X54 or X64.
