the CoffeeNose👃: We always recommend a ridgless (doubleshot) basket. But if you choose a ridged basket this one fits Motta competition leveller and Motta competition tamper or Barista Hustle Tamper.

1. Grind in a dosing cup
Empty the dosing cup in a (naked) portafilter with the basket
Level to make the top flat. If the leveller is set a bit deeper there is often no need to tamp (tamping is just to keep the structure of the puck intact whilst inserting the portafilter in the grouphead)
tamp lightly (if needed) to lock in the puck. Tamp a bit stronger if the roast is lighter and your shot is fast
