The filters are send 100% plastic free in a mailbox*. This box is made of simple recyclable cardboard using clean, earth-friendly inks. Both the box and our filters are made from FSC certified paper. Please recycle ♻️🙏 

These filters have been specially developed by the Coffee Nose 👃 for optimal flavor and flow rate so that you achieve a higher extraction (more flavor).

Do you still drink (pre-ground) coffee from the supermarket? Then this is your chance...as if it were meant to be, to try a real fresh coffee. Honest specialty coffee, freshly roasted with 100% sustainable energy.

*(unless part of a bigger order). Some people have hygiene considerations. We recommend to always rinse the paper filter with boiling water to pre-heat the brewing vessel and rinse out papery flavor (yes, any paper filter gives of some flavor) before starting your coffee brew.

Why use white filters?

Who wants a nasty paper taste in their coffee? 

While all paper filters can introduce unpleasant tastes to your coffee, white paper filters are known to minimize these negative flavor effects the most.

Test it yourself if you don't believe the CoffeeNose👃...

  • Take a brown and a white filter and make a little ball out of them. 
  • Grab 2 cups. 
  • Place each filter in a cup and pour hot water over them. 
  • Let it cool... 
  • smell and taste the difference.

White filters are nowadays bleached with oxygen, without chemicals.

People often think that brown filters are more natural and better. That's nonsense. Just like brown eggs versus white eggs, that's a myth!

Producing filter paper is a process that consumes a lot of energy. The environmental impact of oxygen bleaching is quite small when compared to the overall production. To lessen the ecological footprint of your coffee drinking, consider using a metal filter and only heating the precise amount of water you need.
