Portafilter Spring. Sits just inside your portfilter and holds your filter basket in place. These little bits of wire hold the basket inside the portafilter. In a sense, we owe our ability to even make espresso to these bits of metal: think of them like the ‘O’ ring on a space shuttle solid rocket booster. Small, inexpensive… but if one breaks at the wrong time, well Houston, we have a *major* problem! Always add a few of these bad boys to your order, just in case!
The Lelit Filterholder Spring (Part Code: MC056 / 005820) is designed for 57 mm portafilters.
Portafilter & Spring Specs
- Portafilter Size: 57 mm
- Wire Thickness: 1.0 mm
- Function: Sits inside the inner rim of the portafilter body to retain the 57 mm filter basket and prevent it from falling out when knocking out pucks.

It fits virtually all 57 mm group Lelit domestic espresso machines, including:
- Anna Series: PL41E, PL41EM, PL41LEM, PL41QE, PL41TEM (PID)
- Anita Series (with integrated grinder): PL042EM, PL042EMI, PL042QE, PL042TEMD
- Diana Series: PL60, PL060 R1
- Silvana Series: PL61

Compatible Non-Lelit Brands
Because many manufacturers use standard 57 mm group architecture, this spring is also cross-compatible with:
- La Pavoni: Domus Bar, Domus Casa
- Ascaso: 57 mm models (Dream, Steel, Basic, Arc)
(Note: It is not compatible with Lelit’s 58 mm VIP/E61 line like the MaraX, Bianca, Victoria, or Elizabeth, which use a thicker 1.2 mm / 58 mm retention spring).
