MHW-3BOMBER Falcon Gravity Coffee Distributor — Stainless Steel | 58.35 mm
🦅⚙️ Gravity-Levelled. Precision-Engineered. Espresso-Ready.
The MHW-3BOMBER Falcon Gravity Coffee Distributor 58.35 mm is a precision espresso distribution tool designed to create a smooth, level coffee bed before tamping. Its gravity-assisted mechanism adapts to the height of the ground coffee, making preparation faster and more repeatable without constantly adjusting the tool.
An elegant addition to a serious home barista setup, particularly when paired with precision baskets, a good WDT tool and a self-leveling tamper.
🦅 Gravity-Assisted Distribution — Simple & Repeatable
- ⚖️ Gravity-adjusting mechanism — the distributor adjusts to the coffee-bed height, reducing the need for manual depth adjustment.
- 🌀 Rotating distribution surface — helps redistribute and level the upper layer of ground coffee.
- 🎯 58.35 mm diameter — designed for a close fit in compatible 58 mm espresso baskets.
- 🔩 Stainless steel construction — a solid, durable contact surface for regular espresso preparation.
- 🖐️ Easy handling — a controlled rotating movement helps create a consistent surface before tamping.
- ☕ Repeatable workflow — particularly useful when preparing several espressos in succession.
Unlike a needle-based WDT tool, the Falcon works primarily on the surface of the coffee bed. It is best understood as a leveling tool rather than a replacement for deep distribution.
👃 CoffeeNose Tip — WDT First, Distributor Second
A perfectly smooth-looking coffee puck isn't necessarily evenly distributed underneath.
That's why we recommend using the Falcon Gravity Distributor after WDT, not instead of it.
Our preferred preparation sequence:
- 🪡 WDT — break up clumps and redistribute the coffee throughout the basket.
- 🦅 Falcon Gravity — gently rotate to level the upper surface without unnecessarily compressing the grounds.
- 🎯 Tamp — compress the coffee evenly with a well-fitting precision tamper.
- ☕ Extract — evaluate your espresso by taste, flow and consistency.
CoffeeNose insight: Avoid excessive downward pressure or repeated rotations. A distributor set too deep can compress the upper coffee layer unevenly and potentially introduce density differences. The objective is a level surface, not a pre-tamped puck.
For many experienced baristas, careful WDT followed directly by a self-leveling tamper is already sufficient. The Falcon is an optional workflow refinement, not an essential requirement for excellent espresso.
🔩 Smart Design & Practical Features
The Falcon combines a gravity-adaptive mechanism with thoughtful engineering:
- 💨 Airflow opening — helps prevent unwanted air-pressure effects during distribution.
- 🛡️ Anti-mispress design — reduces the influence of accidental downward pressure.
- 🪵 Walnut, aluminium & SUS304 stainless steel — combines comfortable handling with a durable distribution surface.
- 🧽 Removable construction — can be disassembled for cleaning and maintenance.
These features are described by MHW-3BOMBER for the Falcon Gravity series.

💚 Why We Like It at WB.coffee
The Falcon is a beautifully made tool that simplifies the final leveling step before tamping. We particularly appreciate its gravity-adaptive mechanism and the fact that it doesn't require constant manual depth adjustment.
For baristas who already use WDT, it's a convenient addition to their workflow — although not an essential upgrade if their existing distribution and tamping technique is already consistent.
